Run · company operating layer

The shared company layer every AI department runs on.

This is the company layer underneath CS, sales, operations, recruiting, finance, marketing, and executive work. It gives the CEO one place for work, connected business tools, webchat and email, automated follow-through, generated files and artifacts, media creation, reports, approvals, company controls, and a way to add new abilities.

Protected company capacity

Operating capacity

Run gives each AI company a protected amount of room to operate. The public default quota is expressed in business terms: CEO-to-COO messages, tenant data space, and the human team size included before a custom suite is needed.

Current default quota

capacity baseline

These are the current default quota numbers Run has confirmed for the public suite. They keep the page limited to storage, CEO-to-COO messages, and human team size.

Custom employees, unlimited AI agents

Tenant data space includes mounted storage, workspace files, uploaded files, generated artifacts, company knowledge, and the matching PostgreSQL tenant data Run keeps for work history, ledgers, records, and indexes.

CEO-to-COO messages are the CEO's management messages to the COO. Support conversations do not consume CEO-to-COO messages.

CEO value: the default public limits stay clear and conservative. Storage and CEO-to-COO message capacity are explicit; AI agent count is not capped by suite.
Use it for

Give CEOs and operators a plain baseline for storage, management messages, and human seats.

Upgrade signal

Move to a larger suite when tenant data, CEO-to-COO messages, or human team size need a higher default.

Company work

Work Platform

Run gives the company one place for projects, issues, tasks, owners, progress, blockers, and decisions. The CEO can see what is happening without reading every chat thread.

Projects, issues, and tasks

work platform

Work is organized as company projects, open issues, and concrete tasks. Each item has an owner, status, and next step so execution does not disappear into chat.

CEO value: know what the company is trying to finish, what is stuck, and what needs a decision.
Showcasework view

Turn on

Open Run's work page and create a project, issue, or task from the CEO thread.

Use it for

Track outcomes, blockers, and decisions without reading every execution chat.

  • Track active projects and their current issues.
  • Break work into tasks with owner and progress.
  • Surface blockers and approval requests.

Owners and handoffs

delegation

Run can assign work to AI agents or humans, wait for the result, resume a delegated thread, and bring the answer back to the main operating context.

CEO value: work has accountable owners instead of loose promises.
Showcasehandoff
Assign to COO

Turn on

Use an owner when creating a task, or ask Run to hand the work to the right AI employee.

Use it for

Delegate research, setup, review, and follow-up while keeping the CEO thread clean.

  • Assign an owner to a task or issue.
  • Follow up without losing the original context.
  • Return decisions and proof to the CEO thread.
Business systems

Connected business tools

Run can work inside the tools your company already uses. It should only say a specific tool is live after the customer's environment proves it is connected and writable.

Business systems Run can work with

connect tools

These are the high-value business tools Run can connect for a company. Once a tool is connected, Run can use it inside the relevant department workflow.

Use it for

Ask a department to use the connected tool: look up an order, draft an email, pull a file, or summarize campaign status.

Customer and employee entry points

Webchat and agent email support

Run should be reachable from the places people already use: web, iOS, Android, and agent email support. Desktop is planned as an upcoming client.

Client apps

web / mobile

Run gives customers, employees, or operators a web entry point today, with iOS and Android as the formal native client lanes. Desktop stays marked upcoming until the release owner makes it public.

CEO value: the company can start on the web, then put the same operating system in people's pockets when mobile clients are ready.

Turn on

Start with the web client, publish the Android link when the public APK is current, and use the iOS App Store link when the public app record is live.

Use it for

Give CEOs, operators, and teams a stable place to open Run, review work, approve decisions, and continue conversations.

  • Web client: run.ceo/webchat.
  • Android public APK: Run-android-public-latest.apk.
  • iOS public release lane: supported at formal release; App Store link is published once the app record is live.
  • Desktop: upcoming, not advertised as a live client yet.

Agent email support

email

Agents can support email-based work: reading inbound messages, drafting or sending replies, following up, and keeping the operating context tied to the company record.

CEO value: important work can start from email and still enter Run's operating system.
Showcaseinbox flow
Inbound email becomes an owned task
Run reads the message, drafts a reply, ties it to the customer or project, and asks for approval when needed.
Draft ready
Turn on

Authorize a mailbox or sender, then choose which AI team should handle that address.

Use it for

Handle support mail, vendor follow-ups, founder inbox triage, and outbound customer updates.

  • Support inbound email handling when the customer's mailbox is authorized.
  • Draft and send outbound follow-ups through verified senders.
  • Keep the result connected to the relevant project, issue, customer, or decision.
Execution

Automated work

Run can turn repeatable work into scripts, batch jobs, data cleanup, operating checklists, and scheduled work.

Scripts and batch jobs

automation

Agents can run repeatable work: imports, exports, checks, file changes, API calls, data cleanup, and health checks.

CEO value: recurring manual work becomes repeatable execution with output and evidence.
Showcasejob run

Turn on

Give Run the repeatable command, input source, and expected output once.

Use it for

Recurring imports, data cleanup, file generation, API checks, and operational probes.

  • Run scripts and commands in the working environment.
  • Transform CSV, JSON, files, and API data.
  • Return the result, saved files, and proof.

Checklists and scheduled work

ops

Run can manage repeatable operating procedures and scheduled checks so important routines happen without a human remembering every step.

CEO value: routine operations keep running even when the CEO is not watching.
Showcasescheduled routine

Runs daily
Turn on

Write the checklist, schedule it, and choose who gets notified when something fails.

Use it for

Daily checks, weekly reporting, launch routines, QA passes, and vendor follow-up loops.

  • Define and verify checklist steps.
  • Run cron or scheduled workflows.
  • Escalate only when a boundary or failure is hit.
Execution

Scheduled tasks

Run can start future work from a CEO request: daily reports, operating briefs, reminders, recurring checks, tenant scripts, and follow-up loops, with receipts for schedule, next run, chat delivery, and email delivery.

Scheduled agent work

scheduler

For work that needs judgment or writing, Run can start a fresh scheduled agent session at the right time, read the current Sage conversation when needed, then deliver the result back by chat or email.

CEO value: "tomorrow at 9 send the COO daily report and cc email" becomes a scheduled run with context, not a calendar note.
Showcasedaily report

Tenant scripts and probes

scripts

For deterministic checks, Run can schedule tenant scripts: API probes, data syncs, storefront checks, CSV cleanup, and exception alerts.

CEO value: repeatable checks run on time, and only failures or useful outputs reach the owner.
Showcasehourly probe
Support surface inspection

Runs hourly

Schedule and delivery receipts

proof

Run separates schedule proof from work proof: schedule receipt and next run prove the timer exists; report artifact, chat receipt, and email delivery receipt prove the future work actually completed.

Turn on

Tell Sage what should happen, when it should happen, the timezone, and where the result should be delivered.

Use it for

Daily reports, weekly reviews, recurring follow-ups, operating checks, and email mirrored executive briefings.

Generated work products

Files & artifacts

Run can create files, web pages, documents, reports, dashboards, tables, exports, and code artifacts from normal requests, then hand back an openable result instead of asking the user to copy source text.

File, page, and artifact creation

artifact

Ask in ordinary language: make a page, turn this into a report, export the data, build a dashboard, create a reviewable version, or revise the previous file. Run saves the work into the chat workspace and delivers it through a signed link, file previewer, or explicit attachment when requested.

CEO value: files and pages become inspectable work products, not long chat dumps or local paths that cannot be opened.
Showcaseopenable result
"Make me a landing page"
Run writes a page artifact, returns a signed link, and the browser previewer opens the generated page.
Preview
"Export this as CSV"
Run creates the file, verifies delivery, and sends a link or attachment instead of exposing a local path.
Signed link
Turn on

Ask for the work product you want. Run uses structured file intent and the current chat workspace; it does not require artifact jargon.

Use it for

Pages, documents, reports, dashboards, tables, exports, code files, review versions, and revisions to prior artifacts.

  • Create HTML pages, reports, documents, tables, exports, and code files.
  • Open previewable files in Run's file previewer.
  • Fail closed with a clear blocked state if the file cannot be published.
Content production

Creative & media

Run can help create and review media assets for products, ads, pages, and internal work. Video generation is shown only when the customer's environment has a connected video tool.

Image generation and visual review

media

Run supports image generation, reference-image generation, visual analysis, and creative workflows for producing or reviewing assets.

CEO value: the company can produce and inspect visual assets without waiting on a separate creative queue for every small request.
Showcaseasset review

  • Generate images from prompts or references.
  • Review screenshots, product images, and designs.
  • Use creative workflow tools when connected.

Creative operations

creative

Run can track creative assets, generate variants, check compliance, organize briefs, and follow a creative lifecycle.

CEO value: creative work becomes an operating process, not a folder of disconnected files.

  • Register assets and variants.
  • Check creative compliance before use.
  • Map creative work to campaigns and results.

Voice and video generation

connected tool

Run can produce spoken output, and video generation can be available through connected tools for text-to-video or image-to-video work.

CEO value: richer media can be produced from company context when the right tool and approvals are present.
Showcasemedia job

  • Generate spoken output for voice or media workflows.
  • Create video when the customer's environment has a connected video tool.
  • Track job progress and retrieve completed media.
Truth for the CEO

Reports & approvals

Run should not just say work happened. It should show status, cost, value, risk, quality, evidence, and lessons learned.

Status, cost, and value reports

reports

Reports turn company activity into CEO-grade judgment: what moved, what changed, what cost money, what saved time, and what needs attention.

CEO value: manage by facts and operating signals instead of raw chat volume.
ShowcaseCEO report

  • Daily and weekly operating status.
  • Cost and value summaries.
  • Risk and exception highlights.

Proof and policy review

review

Important promises should come with evidence, saved work, or a clear boundary explaining what is known and what still needs confirmation.

CEO value: trust the system because important promises can be checked.
Showcaseapproval queue

  • Attach evidence to finished work.
  • Record decisions and approval limits.
  • Feed lessons back into agent behavior.
Company management

Company controls

Run needs a way to manage AI employees, active work, ownership, company settings, and escalation rules.

Agents and active work

manage

Run can list and manage agents, current work, history, status, and customer-facing settings.

CEO value: AI employees are manageable company resources, not anonymous black boxes.

  • See which agents exist and what they are doing.
  • Inspect current work status and history.
  • Control settings through clear management pages.

Ownership and escalation

owners

Run can maintain an org chart, ownership paths, group creation or invite flows, and issue reporting.

CEO value: when work is risky or blocked, the system knows who should own the next decision.

  • Route work to the right owner.
  • Escalate platform or company issues.
  • Keep permission limits explicit.
Extending the company

Add new abilities

When a company needs a new way of working, Run can create customer-specific tools, skills, workflow connections, and verified ability packages.

Custom tools and skills

build

Run can add new reusable tools and skills for a customer when the existing platform does not yet cover a business process.

CEO value: the company can teach Run new operating moves instead of staying limited to default features.

Build
Turn on

Use it for

Create tenant-specific tools for operations, support, sales, finance, reporting, or internal workflows.

  • Create tools and skills for customer-specific work.
  • Wrap workflows into reusable company tools.
  • Keep the new ability discoverable for future agents.

Verification and readiness

proof

A new ability is not live just because code exists. It needs to be registered, checked against permissions, proven in the real environment, and marked ready for that customer.

CEO value: new abilities become safe to operate because availability is proven before being promised.
Showcaselaunch checklist

  • Register where the new ability runs.
  • Verify permissions and connected tool state.
  • Publish readiness before promising live use.
